Our Story

Airlie Dayz Painting & Decorating is a family-owned and operated business established in 2013 by Company Director, James Yates. Servicing Whitsundays, Mackay, Bowen, Brisbane and so much more.

James was introduced into the trade of Painting and Decorating by his father in 2002 when he was offered an apprenticeship for the family business, servicing Brisbane Northside. James’ enthusiasm, attention to detail and his ability to deliver high-quality work, earned him shared ownership and beneficiary in his fathers company.

In mid 2013 Airlie Dayz Painting & Decorating was established when James travelled to North Queensland with his wife Tahlia and newborn daughter to service the mining and construction boom with an interest in providing high-quality services on designer and project builds.

Over the past years James and Tahlia and there team at Airlie Dayz Painting & Decorating have built a strong reputation and have developed into a business of choice for Project Builders, Insurance Builders, Resorts, Maintanence and loads more. With now over 10 full-time staff and sub-contractor teams who take great pride in their work and commit to offer 100% satisfaction on projects, delivered on-time and on-budget.

James’ wife Tahlia also plays in important role in the company, not only is she the office manager bringing her rich mix of business management and account management skills and bonus interior knowledge. Tahlia also works on site painting with the team also having that extra set of eyes helps keep the quality up to standard. Offering colour consulting and a wide range of interior design experience, she also does a great job at keeping James and the boys in-line.
